Plots 8 & 9 Perry Barr Residential Scheme, Birmingham
Completing works in 2022 our Facades division were contracted by Willmott Dixon on the awarding winning plots 8 & 9 and installed a rainscreen system covering 11,000 m2 with a 50/50 split across both plots.
The rainscreen systems comprise of:
– Tyvek® FireCurb® breather membrane
– Stainless steel helping hand support system
– Rockwool Duo Slab® insulation
– Corium mechanically fitted rainscreen brick slip system
– Genius aluminium rainscreen
– Tenmat Ventilated and Non-Ventilated Cavity Fire Barriers
Our Screeding division also completed a substantial package of works with approximately 16,000m2 of pumped standard fibre screed across two blocks for plot 8. This screed was layered on top of a foam acoustic blanket.
During the tender process our team advised and supported Willmott Dixon in choosing the best choice of materials and systems. As an integral supplier to Willmott Dixon The ALD Group supported the scheme’s overall aim to challenge traditional construction methods by transferring as many manufacturing processes off site to reduce carbon footprint and improve overall programme certainty.
These actions were critical in attaining cost and building efficiencies thus feeding the bigger picture of rapid delivery via maximising off site construction where ever possible.
